1.     You: I’m Guillaume Bourgoignie. I have a multicultural background with both of my parents being from Europe. In addition, I am from Miami, a city known to be a melting pot of cultures. As I said in the previous napkin, I am a determined and serious individual who always takes competition to the extreme, meaning I don’t like to lose. I am a good logical and objective thinker, making it easy for me to make decisions without all my emotions clouding my judgement. Miami has shown me many facets of the vape and nicotine industry, with a majority of my friends becoming users in high school. This gives me extensive knowledge on how people feel about such products.  I see this business being successful in helping many people change their habits, not only in Gainesville but nationally as well, if this business does well it can be made into a nationwide chain.

2.     What are you offering the customers: I am proposing a service that will support and motivate people to give up the unhealthy addiction of vape and nicotine product usage.

3.     Who are you offering it to: This service is available to anyone who feels they want to give up their addiction but feel that they need help in doing so. The majority of the customers will most likely be from the younger demographics from the ages of 18 to 25.

4.     Why do they care: People should care about this service because recently the FDA has released data proving some of the serious health risks that these vape products can cause to individuals. It would be in their best interests to stop as soon as possible in order to avoid any further damage.

5.     What are your core competencies: My character and personality are what hold most of my competencies. Being a logical, determined and competitive individual, I am always geared towards overcoming a challenge which helps me incredibly. One aspect which sets me apart would be my multicultural upbringing, something which not many have the ability to experience. This lets me be very understanding and empathetic towards most of the people I meet.

After evaluating the five sets of questions and the answers provided, I feel that everything falls into place pretty well. It follows a very logical flow, meaning that I am offering customers something to solve an actual problem which they should actually be caring about. In addition, the personality I show is something that is necessary for this type of business and to help others achieve what they want.

As for the feedback, it was for the most part positive. They all said that I had the right type of personality to get people in the right mindset of quitting. In addition, they add that being determined is necessary in order to convince people to go through with this life changing experience. Otherwise no comments were mad on other matters.

Create a Customer Avatar

My prototypical customer would be an individual between the ages of 18-25, meaning mostly college age people. These individuals would be those who are users of vape and nicotine products and who are actively looking to stop. The majority of people in this market segment would be found at college campuses where they would be students. The habits of these students could vary greatly. Most of them, however, would probably take part in parties and the night life around the university. In addition, many of them could be Greek life oriented, meaning affiliated to a fraternity or sorority. Financially, these individuals wouldn’t have much to provide, most of them being dependent on their parents. However, since this could have health ramifications, the parents would probably be more inclined to support their child in paying for the service to help them stop. A lot of them would probably take part in a club or sporting activity as well.

Personally, I have many things in common with this prototypical customer. I am a 20-year-old college student who used to consume nicotine products, who enjoys going out with friends, who is dependent on my parents, and who does enjoy playing sports and extracurriculars. No this is not a coincidence because I developed this idea by surveying my landscape and noticing what most people around me do. I am one of the customers for this service as well but I did not get addicted to such devices.

Based on the feedback, my delivery was good. The feedback said they liked the information and statistics that I gave, making my presentation for concise and realistic. They also all believed that the service being presented was not a bad idea and presented a lot of potential. Since everyone knows about it due to the rise in media coverage, it is an opportune moment to launch such a service. They also all believed that my delivery was natural and seemed well put together around the issue.

I did not change a lot from my last pitch seeing that all the feedback was positive on it. I simply tried to make it flow better and included some more information. Updating the information and making the delivery smoother would make the pitch better as well as more development of the whole service idea that I am presenting. Although it’s a pitch, it is the basis of what is yet to come and should present a good overall idea of the service.
